Neander Kompressor Stand der Technik

Cost problems for users.Environmental problems for everyone.

Today's air compressors for use in trucks and buses ("Heavy Trucks" over 6 tons weight) require oil lubrication for the piston, which has a number of disadvantages:

  • High service costs for maintenance, repair and replacement of downstream components
  • High fuel costs, as the compressor cannot be switched off while idling
  • Severe environmental pollution due to thrown out oil

Up until now, the industry has failed due to the specification of the very compact space which is available for a brake compressor: dry-running compressors which fulfil the requirements for a final pressure of 12.5 bar and the required output volume would be far to large if conventional technology was used.
