Dtorque 111 at the „Nor-Fishing“ in Trondheim, Norway
For the first time ever our Dtorque 111 was shown by our worldwide acting exclusive distribution partner Yanmar Marine International (YMI) at the Nor-Fishing in Trondheim, one of the world’s most important and biggest exhibitions of the fishing industry (est. 1960), which took place from 16th to 19th of August 2016.
The growing “Nor-Fishing” has become a more and more important part of the fishing industry, which was proved by the considerable increased number of visitors and exhibitors (+22%). During the 4 days more than 17.000 visitors from more than 50 countries were counted. An additional hall is planned already for 2018 to cope with the increased demand of exhibitors.
As one could have expected fishermen showed the highest interest for our Dtorque as well as owners of fish farms and also boat manufactures, asking specifically for technical details and the retail price. Especially the saving possibilities regarding fuel economy, the lower price for diesel fuel in Norway, a possible cost reduction from the insurance companies (diesel instead of gasoline on board means lower flammability) and the higher life expectation persuaded the potential Dtorque owners of tomorrow only a few months before planned start of production.
