NEANDER Summer Fête 2018
Summer, sun, Kieler Woche.
The biggest sailing event in the world with more than 3 M visitors made for the perfect setting for this year’s NEANDER summer party.
Right in the middle of it all in Kiel Schilksee, on the patio of the DSV (German sailing association) with perfect views over the Kiel Fjord and the busy boat racing scenery we enjoyed stimulating talks, nice food and cold drinks.
Of course we didn’t miss out on having fun on the water either: With two boats to choose from all colleagues were able to experience the performance, smooth running and the pleasantly quiet engine sound of our Dtorque Turbo Diesel with their own hands on the wheel. Apart from our own aluminium-boat with a double installation of the motor we had the chance to try out the “Black Dragon”, an inflatable boat which our exclusive global sales partner Yanmar had kindly provided to us – for which we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks once again!
The crowning highlight of our summer party was the traditional fireworks display, which marks the special moment of change from the first to the second part of the Kieler Woche races: the beginning of the Olympic class regattas, the Laser Radial world championship for men and the Para Sailing European championship.
It was a warm summer’s day in a relaxed as well as action-packed atmosphere against a fantastic backdrop – a perfect balance – to say it short: The party was a big success!
