Social Media Marketing Specialist (m/f/d)

We’re looking for a social media marketing specialist to join our friendly and expanding marketing team.  Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in creating and implementing an effective social media strategy, be based in Europe, and is a fluent communicator in English.  If you have an interest in the marine industry and want to help us with the challenge of building a premium global brand that aims to make a difference, we would love to meet you.

As part of this, the role offers remote working, or from our offices in Kiel, Germany, or South England. Your working hours will be flexitime, 40 hours per week, part-time also possible and you will get 25 days holiday, staggered according to affiliation up to 28 days.

Objectives and responsibilities

  • To create a social media strategy in consultation with the marketing team which aligns with Neander’s growth strategy and communication matrix. This includes conducting research, creating a content calendar, establishing the logistics of delivering content, writing copy, and scheduling posts. 
  • Implement the strategy by creating and administering content on all relative social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to help grow brand awareness.
  • Build and manage an engaged online audience, by identifying, building and nurturing relationships within the social channel community.
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Director, identify short and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs.
  • Use key social media performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research reports, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results and consumer trends in order to monitor the strategy and translate results into actionable insights.
  • Work in collaboration with the Education Consultant and Aftersales team to create and deliver training content for Neander’s distributors on effective Social Media practice. 
  • Ideally, occasionally attend, conventions, conferences, and tradeshows worldwide, to create content and create hype on social media platforms.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High levels of emotional intelligence (excellent listener and communicator, skilful at articulating emotion-related concepts).
  • Highly proficient communicator in English – able to create and convey written messages in the right tone.
  • Successful track record of at least two years leading on social media strategy.
  • Experienced content creator for social media and marketing.
  • Some experience in managing a social media budget.
  • Formal qualification related to Social Media Strategy and Implementation. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field, such as marketing, social media, online marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Some marketing experience within a premium brand.
  • Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education.
