The Dtorque 111 on the international Seawork trade fair in Southampton (UK)

Seawork International, the largest and fastest growing trade fair for commercial marine and workboats, took place in the harbor of Southampton from 14th to 16th June. With about 7.500 experts from the marine sector, 10.000 products and services as well as about 70 ships and its ideal location, Seawork has established itself as one of the most important venues for purchasers, sellers, innovators and legislators.

seawork2Due to its growing number of visitors, this year the fair had to be re-located within the harbor in order to expand the exhibition space indoors and outside. This change provided much more space and berths for the many exhibitors’ workboats.

For the third time already our turbodiesel outboard was exhibited there by our sales partner E.P. Barrus Ltd, this year together with Yanmar Marine International. On this occasion the brand name Dtorque 111, under which our exclusive sales partner Yanmar will market the motor, was introduced to the large number of visitors.

Even though the weather was not as good as last year the interest in our Dtorque was just as big and our team had a lot of inquiries to deal with, giving them extra practice in lifting the cowling to explain the double crankshaft technology hidden underneath.

Meanwhile, we have started into the second validation phase at full throttle. The improved series-production-like motors are undergoing a 1,000-hour-endurence test before they will finally go into the pre-launch production in the last quarter of this year.
